Summary

Marcus is an attorney in Taft’s Cincinnati office and focuses his practice on tax, transactional, and corporate governance matters. He advises individuals and businesses on the tax and financial implications of strategic transactions, including entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, joint ventures, and partnership transactions. Marcus partners with clients to develop creative, tax-efficient solutions that further their business objectives.

Prior to joining Taft, Marcus was an associate at an international law firm, where he practiced in the tax and real estate groups. Marcus brings experience in representing both lenders and borrowers in financing transactions, purchasers and sellers in real estate transfers, and landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions. His experience also includes counseling developers and investors in structuring the entities that own real estate assets.

Marcus earned his J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where he was a member of the University of Cincinnati Law Review and the Order of the Coif. He received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Georgetown University.
