Wager Participates in White House Business Council's Business Leaders Briefing

Taft partner Michael Wager was invited to participate in the White House Business Council’s Business Leaders Briefing on November 26, 2012. Forty leaders from around the country were invited to join a discussion that focused on the impending “fiscal cliff,” as well as the administration’s views on immigration reform.

The briefing was conducted by White House advisors and directors, including Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor and assistant to the president, and directors from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the White House Domestic Policy Council.

Wager represents private and publicly-held entities in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, corporate governance, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act investigations and compliance, and strategic growth initiatives. He has served as counsel and adviser to, and director of, several private and public companies, and prior to joining Taft, he was the chair of a Cleveland-based private equity firm. Wager is also a past chair of the board of the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority. This year, Wager served as finance director for the successful re-election efforts of Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio).
