Sharpe and Rhoades Article Published by The Indiana Lawyer

Taft attorneys John H. Sharpe and Kim Rhoades authored the article "Data breach tips and recovery plans for health care," which was published in the July 12 issue of The Indiana Lawyer. The article discusses recent ransomware and virus attacks and includes an overview of the information and guidance issued by the federal government specific to the health care industry. 

Sharpe is a partner in Taft's Health & Life Sciences and Business & Finance  groups. He focuses his practice primarily on business transactions, corporate matters and regulatory issues, with particular emphasis on assisted living, home health, skilled nursing, supported living and other long-term health services. Sharpe serves as general counsel for several Indiana-based health care and software companies and serves as Indiana counsel for national and publicly traded assisted living and skilled nursing companies.

Rhoades is of counsel in Taft’s Health & Life Sciences group. She focuses her practice primarily on business transactions, corporate matters and regulatory issues, with particular emphasis on assisted living, home health, skilled nursing, supported living and other long-term health services. Prior to joining Taft, she served as the director of the Indiana State Department of Health’s Long-Term Care Division, where she led the daily operations for regulating nursing homes, residential care facilities, Life Safety Code and supervised group living facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
