Thompson Quoted in The Indiana Lawyer Diversity and Inclusion Article

Taft partner Adrian D. Thompson was quoted in The Indiana Lawyer article “Black lawyers who rose through the ranks of larger firms see vast changes,” which was published on July 12. The article mentions the changes African-American partners have experienced throughout their careers. It also discusses the diversity and inclusion efforts that law firms are implementing, such as mentor/mentee programs, diversity fellowship scholarships and internship programs and training attorneys and staff to address unconscious or innate biases.

Thompson serves as Taft’s Chief Diversity Officer and also serves on the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association’s diversity committee, where he helped initiate the region's first diversity and inclusion law firm survey. In his role as the Taft's Chief Diversity Officer, Thompson leads the firm’s commitment and strategy regarding diversity and inclusion across our 10 offices and in the communities that we serve. As a Labor & Employment Law partner, he provides counsel for private sector clients on issues including equal employment opportunity litigation, wage-hour problems, employment of the disabled, federal housing and other labor matters.
