Bilott Speaks at University of Chicago and University of New Mexico

Taft partner Robert A. Bilott recently spoke at two university events regarding his continued work against chemical giant DuPont:

  • On Nov. 12, Bilott spoke at the Stigler Center at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business regarding the issue of regulatory capture in the context of PFOA drinking water contamination.
  • Earlier this month, Bilott spoke to students at the University of New Mexico about addressing unregulated drinking water contaminants.

Bilott, who serves as co-lead counsel for the plaintiff’s altering committee handling litigation against DuPont, has been in the spotlight since New York Times Magazine dubbed him "The Lawyer Who Became DuPont's Worst Nightmare" in an article published on Jan. 6, 2016.

Bilott is a member of Taft's Environmental, Litigation and Product Liability and Personal Injury groups. He represents a diverse range of clients on a wide variety of matters involving federal, state and local environmental laws and related litigation.
