Diamant Elected to Two Esteemed Arbitration Organizations

Taft partner Michael H. Diamant has been elected a fellow of the College of Commercial Arbitrators. Established in 2001, the College of Commercial Arbitrators (“CCA”) is a national organization of commercial arbitrators providing a meaningful contribution to the profession, the public and to the businesses and lawyers who depend on commercial arbitration as a primary means of dispute resolution. CCA comprises nationally and internationally recognized commercial arbitrators and promotes the highest standards of integrity, professionalism and practice in the field of commercial arbitration.

Diamant was also elected to the board of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (“SVAMC”). He was previously a member of the SVAMC. The organization serves the global technology community by promoting business practical resolution of disputes through alternative dispute resolution. SVAMC advances the use of arbitration and mediation by companies and individuals involved in technology and technology-related business disputes in Silicon Valley, throughout the U.S. and around the world.

Diamant holds a Bachelor of Science in engineering from Case Institute of Technology of Case Western Reserve University, with a concentration in solid-state physics, semi-conductor technology and applied mathematics. His J.D. is from Harvard Law School. Diamant’s practice encompasses all aspects of intellectual property, trade secret and computer-related law issues, including buying, selling, developing and licensing hardware, software and other technology. He has litigated technology and computer-related matters before numerous courts and arbitration panels over the past 40 years.
