Thompson Selected for Reed v. Rhodes Panel

Adrian D. Thompson will participate in the Judge John M. Manos Inn of Court presentation concerning the Cleveland, Ohio school desegregation landmark case Reed v. Rhodes. The presentation will be held on Tuesday, March 11 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. in Judge Solomon Oliver’s room at the federal courthouse.

Reed v. Rhodes was filed in 1973 by Federal District Judge Frank J. Battisti. The case ruled that Cleveland schools were racially segregated. School officials were ordered to implement programs designed to desegregate educational facilities in the city.

He provides counsel for private sector clients on issues such as equal employment opportunity litigation, wage-hour problems, employment of the disabled, federal housing and other labor matters. He was formerly the chair of the firm’s diversity committee and served as the chief legal counsel for Cleveland Metropolitan School District for eight years.
