About Benchmark Litigation and the Top 250 Women in Litigation publications
Female litigators listed in the publication were selected on the basis of peer review conducted for the 2013 edition of Benchmark Litigation, the parent publication of Top 250 Women in Litigation. Female local litigation stars from each 50 states plus the District of Columbia are listed in this guide. In states where no women had been featured as local litigation stars in the most recent edition of Benchmark, the editorial staff selected litigators from women chosen as future stars. The compendium of top 10 female litigators was selected on the basis of peer review, as well as the gravitas and depth of their overall careers in trial law.

Benchmark Litigation is the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys and the only publication on the market to focus exclusively on litigation in the United States. The guide’s results are the culmination of a six-month research period that allows our researchers to conduct extensive interviews with litigators and their clients.
