25th Annual Business & Industry's Sustainability and Environmental Health & Safety Symposium

Taft attorneys Kim Burke and Chase Dressman will co-present with Pilot Chemical Company at the 25th Annual Business & Industry's Sustainability and Environmental Health & Safety Symposium on March 23. Their session is titled "Best Practices in Environmental Management…How to Keep Off EPA's Enforcement Radar." The event is sponsored by the Manufacturers' Education Council and will be held at the Cincinnati Duke Energy Convention Center.

Burke is a partner in Taft's Environmental group. He concentrates his practice in a variety of environmental law areas, including Superfund defense and negotiation, regulatory enforcement, development and implementation of hazardous substance remedial investigation and corrective measure plans, defense of toxic tort and other civil and criminal claims, real estate transfers, acquisitions and divestitures, government funding, including stimulus and brownfields, environmental insurance litigation, environmental permits and administrative proceedings before state and federal environmental agencies.

Dressman is an associate in Taft's Environmental and Litigation groups. He advises clients on compliance with federal and state environmental laws and regulations (including CERCLA, RCRA, TSCA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act and FIFRA) and represents clients in complex business and environmental litigation in state and federal court. Dressman frequently assists clients with responding to regulatory inspections and inquiries, and he has extensive experience in defending clients facing environmental enforcement actions at the state and federal levels around the country.
