SARAH CLAY LEYSHOCK is a Labor & Employment attorney in the Cincinnati office of Taft. She focuses her practice exclusively on representing employers in litigation and pre-litigation matters involving state and Federal employment laws. She regularly resolves charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission and the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights at the investigation and mediation stages. In addition, Sarah prepares key legal documents for employers, such as employment agreements, severance agreements, employee handbooks, last chance agreements and non-disclosure, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, and advises clients on personnel matters involving reductions-in-force, wage and hour compliance, unemployment compensation, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, leave entitlement, reasonable accommodations, wrongful termination, and other employment law liability considerations. Sarah is admitted to practice law in all state courts in Ohio and Kentucky, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.  In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Sarah was selected as an Ohio Super Lawyers Rising Star. 

Sarah earned her J.D. from Northern Kentucky University, Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2006, where she also served as an advocate on two award-winning competitive trial advocacy teams. She graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown College with a B.A. in communication arts and psychology in 2002.  She has served as a volunteer and board member for the Welcome House of Northern Kentucky, provides pro bono services for non-profit corporations through the Pro Bono Partnership of Greater Cincinnati and is current a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association.
